New film from Harman - Switch Azure
New film stocks are always welcome and this from Harman looks very interesting.
This one might be for the more adventurous photographer but that’s no bad thing and any new film that gets people creative is a winner in my book. Harman has expanded its roster of films with a new one; Switch Azure, which, as the name suggests swaps out colours. At first glance I thought it has a look of the bleach bypass about it but that really isn’t the case. at all. Harman says the new stocks react differently depending on the scanning method too, opening up even more avenues for creativity. From the product page:
HARMAN SWITCH films invite you to flip the familiar on its head and turn the everyday into something strange special. As the colours switch, ordinary scenes become unexpectedly extraordinary.
Iconic red London buses? - Now they’re blue.
Yellow New York cabs? - Not anymore!
Your friends? - Think Smurfs… or maybe Avatar.
Sunsets? - Reimagined in cool blues and dreamy purples.
From the everyday to the extraordinary, it’s time to switch the world around you.
This example shows just how dramatic Azure can be.
